ACOA recently showed support for EnginuityMED and their FIVA, Fluid IV Alert. Designed in collaboration with Dr Orlando Hung of the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax, Enginuity engineered the product from concept to first sale in 9 months. This collaboration formed a spin-off company Fiva Med that is now making the product available through Canada and is currently undergoing regulatory approval for the US and Europe.
Congratulations to the team at Fiva Med.
The Honorable Rob Moore, Minister of State (ACOA) commented “Our Government is pleased to support the market launch and continued growth of EnginuityMED’s innovative IV monitoring technology through the development of a second generation product. This small-but-mighty medical device, designed and manufactured locally, has the potential to improve patient care worldwide, while creating jobs and opportunities right here in Nova Scotia.”
