Projects and Case Studies
Designing a Radio Frequency Processing Unit with 98% energy efficiency for the VASIMR thruster
Aethera Technologies sought out the help of Enginuity’s Mechanical Engineering and Design team in order to assist with the design one of the key components of Ad Astra Rocket Company‘s electric rocket system (VASIMR), the Ion Cyclotron Heater RF Processing Unit. We were able to come up with a highly optimized design for this Power Processing Unit (PPU) that met the tight restrictions required for space propulsion – at 98% energy efficiency.
Automating Sea Cucumber Grading with Industry 4.0
Ocean Pride Fisheries in Lower Wedgeport, NS has the largest vertically integrated sea cucumber operation in North America. With the help of Enginuity’s Industry 4.0 team, they were able to streamline their dried sea cucumber grading process, allowing them to standardize the quality of their output while optimizing their labor resources and throughput.
A look into prototyping and product development with start-up, Prosaris
Enginuity is helping Nova Scotia Start-Up Prosaris in developing their ultrasonic leak detector, the OL1, from early prototyping up to the final manufacturing stages. Together, we were able to develop a product that can detect and direct users towards the smallest of air and gas leaks, that can help both the bottom-line and the environment.
Sorting Pharmaceuticals with Machine Vision and Robotics
Through machine vision and robotics, Enginuity was able to help Unbound Chemicals in their journey of recycling valuable pharmaceutical waste.
Doubling Production with Food Automation
IMO Foods in Yarmouth, NS has streamlined the packaging process of their popular Kersen Canned Fish, using Enginuity’s Robotics & Automation Team, capturing all that is Industry 4.0.
IMO can now double their production length to meet market demand.
Embolic Bead Dispensing System | Medical Device Design
With ABK Medical’s medical device design needs, they looked no further after discovering product design company Enginuity.
