Issac - Machine Shop Manager

Isaac Sorge

Shop Manager, P.Eng. RSE (Machinist)

Isaac is one of those rare birds that not only talks the talk, but walks the walk. Equally comfortable at the CNC milling machine as he is at a CAD station, Isaac not only builds your components, but can adjust and tweak your design for the real world.

Like many engineers, he was constantly pulling stuff apart at a very young age. This led him to becoming a motorcycle mechanic directly after high school, and then completing a portion of an Automotive Service Technician apprenticeship. Wanting to expand his horizons beyond motorcycles and auto repair, Isaac enrolled in Dalhousie University’s Mechanical Engineering program, graduating in 2014.

His experience was further honed during positions at Spring Loaded Technology and Focal Technologies, which spanned the gamut of design and fabrication from precision medical devices to large scale industrial marine applications. As the sober second thought on projects as they come through the door, Isaac can identify manufacturing and fabrication issues before they arise, always offering a more durable and cost-efficient way of executing the design.

Unlike most other engineering firms, Enginuity has the remarkable capacity of building iterative prototypes and small-run production for its customers. As shop manager and mechanical engineer, Isaac will not only stamp your design, but can build it better than anyone else around.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are your typical production support activities?

Our typical production support activities include overseeing the entire manufacturing process, from initial design and prototyping to final assembly and quality control.
